The Neighbourhood
The Beaches — officially “The Beach” but always called “the Beaches” by the people who live here — is a lakeside neighbourhood in Toronto's east end. Stretching along Queen Street East from Coxwell to Victoria Park, and down to the Lake Ontario shoreline, it's one of the city's most beloved places to live, visit, and belong.
The boardwalk. Kew Gardens. The Jazz Festival. The farmers' market. Remarkable Bean. Ed's. These aren't just places — they're institutions. And there are hundreds more stories waiting to be told. Beaches Local exists to tell them.
